About us

Description

We are a global supplier of cutting-edge photonics equipment.

We specialize in the manufacture of broadband, low-coherence light sources in the 650 – 1600 nm spectral range, with a particular focus on near-infrared sources and swept-wavelength tunable lasers. We offer a wide variety of products ranging from discrete components all the way up to turn-key systems. Our product range includes the following main product types:

  • Fiber-pigtailed and free-space superluminescent diodes (SLDs)
  • SLD-based broadband light sources, including multichannel sources based on the combination of several SLDs
  • Swept-wavelength tunable lasers
  • Semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs)
  • Ultra-high-power Master Source Power Amplifier light sources – small-sized wide-spectrum light sources that utilize concepts similar to those used in the well-known Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) configuration

All our products have been qualified in accordance with the requirements of Telcordia GR-468-CORE.

We are a leading supplier of light sources for optical coherence tomography (OCT, including full-field OCT) systems used in industrial applications, producing thousands of units annually, the vast majority of which are supplied to the major OCT system manufacturers. Our engineers are constantly improving the performance of the devices, making them more optically powerful, broadband and reliable. For example, we can achieve ASE optical powers at the output of a single mode fiber of up to 100 mW CW in the near IR (840 nm), spectral widths of up to 200 nm by combining several SLD modules, lasers with tuning ranges of up to 115 nm (as well as combined lasers with tuning ranges of up to 200 nm) in the near IR, etc.
